A very special birthday this year

I didn't knew I would be so much celebrated this birthday. It came to be four times I blew off the candle and cut the cakes.

All started from the office team lunch at Absolute Barbeque on 4th Sept. We are a strength of 30 team members and I have been working with my team since 2 years.  After we had our sumptuous lunch it was sweet surprise to see a birthday cake in front of me. I was made to wear a birthday cap and cut the cake. My colleagues then cheered and clapped singing birthday song. I felt very excited and happy.

The next cake cutting was with my roommates at room. It has been ten years of association with my roommates as we are same college pass-outs and even the same company recruit. They had arranged for dinner and cake for my birthday night on 6th Sept. But before the actual time to cut cake, I found them sleepy and hence proposed to cut cake early at 11 30. We did cake cutting, singing and photography. Birthday cake pics and greeting were posted in our college group of Whatsapp and I received many more birthday wishes.

The next day was my Birthday morning at 7th Sept, when I took sweets for my team members. My colleagues wished me both at Hyderabad and Bangalore office locations. During the evening time, we had a get together to celebrate the birthdays which falls in the current month. Luckily for me it was celebrated on the same day as no one else has birthday in the September. We had the cake cutting, soft drinks and snacks arranged. The team did not spare me birthday bumps and applying cake on my face.

With all the celebrations and wishes I happily returned from office.  I went to Bacchi di's home at Hyderabad. We know each other by our common roots being born in Andaman. I had guessed that she too would have arranged birthday cake. But the surprise was the gift. She gave me a t-shirt. Found it of my size and very comfortable to wear. Cake cutting and playing with the kids before a delicious dinner prepared by her of my choice.

Later, I returned home at 11 pm.

It was a very busy day. Many peoples to meet and many birthday wishes and greetings. In spite, being away from my parents and neither being active on social networks, I had such a wonderful birthday.

Thank you all my friends and folks for making my birthday so special !

Nine simple but strong quotes for happiness ~

~It does not matter if you are a rose or a lotus or a marigold. What matters is that you are flowering.

~If you are sad you are wrong; if you are joyful you are right.

~The existence loves you, otherwise you would not be here. Relax into your being, you are cherished by the whole.

~Life is not a tension anywhere except in the minds of humanity.

~Happiness is an art that one has to learn. It has nothing to do with your doing or not doing, being or not being.

~There has never been a person like you before, there is nobody else like you right now in the whole world, and there will never be anybody like you.

~You are a great problem-creator. Just understand this and suddenly problems disappear. This very moment you can drop all problems because they are your creation.

~Happiness is not conditional; nothing is needed to be happy. Only to be alive is needed — and that you are, you already are.

~You can become happy just by deciding to be happy.

A fast with a beer

For quite sometime now, I have been willing to fast to keep my body feel light atleast for a day. And, to recover from all the extra food and toxins my body has been gloating since long.  Also, I wanted to test my perseverance of resisting the temptations which my mind often succumb to.

So you see, by this I examined my will power . Both at physical and mental levels. So far, I have been successful. Thereby, I celebrated in the evening with a bottle of Beer. No food and only water for the entire day, helped the beer tranquilize my nerves easily. I was quick to reach high followed by a sound sleep. Though it's not a solution, but it worked to relieve my mind from the thought of someone I developed attachment to.

The day now is near end. By the time I go to sleep, I have another meal to resist. Ending the note here with a cheer for the fast with a beer.

Caution :
Fasting with a beer is very harmful for health. On empty stomach, alcohol affects blood faster than usual. This in-turn negatively impacts the liver and kidneys. It is always suggested to eat a bit of greasy food while taking alcohol and to drink plenty of water.

Butterfly effect

The flap of a butterfly's wings changes the air around it so much, that it can cause a tornado, two continents away. This suggests that a single occurrence no matter how small, can change the course of your universe around you.

Let us talk few implications of this theory -

1. The small actions you take, may result in big outcomes over a longer period of time. Say, 5 min of your exercising everyday will free you off from ailments like obesity, hypertension, abnormal bp etc within few months.
2. Your per month of saving a small amount will accumulate and compound to a large sum over a longer period of time.
3. One good thought or deed done towards someone will improve your relation with him/her and can turn to a lifelong relationship or entering into a strong business partnership.

There are endless examples where a small drop into the water has created larger and larger ripples around it.
No action is ever too small. No good thought is ever any useless. Everything achieved big was started from that one first tiny step. Everything proved worthy was induced from that one once appearing insignificant thought.

One small step taken is actually a giant leap made towards your motive.

Friends and relations..

Friendships/relationships are lost due to individual ego, wrong attitude, selfishness, skepticism,  monetary issues etc. Part of the reason is destiny too. Hope the world learns to keep these things aside so that no one looses their near and dear pals.
Silence is deafening in the long run. Break it up to clear all the misunderstandings and let the friendship blossom.

Happy friendship days ahead. Goodnight ! 😊

Manasu palike bhasa prema ~ Love is the language of heart

This song was shared to me by a good friend

I liked the lyrics and music of the song so much that I am posting here at my blog. Song is originally written in Telugu. I understand that the lyrical translation to english may hinder it's original beauty. I am sure the song when read or heard by a native guy (telugu) will have his heart flying in air.

Though I am a non native telugu, the influence of the song on me is so pleasing !
Surely, Music and Love tresspasses the boundaries of language.

Here is the lyrics and translation ~

Manasu Palike Bhasha prema
Maranamaina thodu Prema

Love is the language of heart.
Love is the answer of a silent heart.

Gundelo Vyadhalane Kalchu mante Prema
Ragilina segalane arpunadi E Prema
Aadiyu anthamu leni payanam Prema

Love gives company even in death. Love is a magic which happens to everyone.
Love is  a fire which burns down the pain. Love neither does have a start nor a end.

Vekuvy cherune cheekatintlo Prema
Viswamantaa unna Prema, Iruku yadalo daachagalamaa

Love brightens the house of darkness.
Love is spread throughout the world which cannot be hidden inside a tiny heart.

Katilo kaladu thudi leni E Prema
Janmane koradu Ammerugadee Prema
Dorakada vethikithe kadalaina kanneta

Love is endless. Love does not wish for a life, it does not has a mother.
Love can be found in the waves of tears

Taramaga dahama neeralle O Prema
Needaniche veluguthodu, Cheekataithe emikanu

Love drive away thirst like a water.Love is so supreme with out which life becomes difficult..

The Mind and the Nature

The moment you defile your mind, the moment you generate any negativity (anger, animosity, hatred, ill-will,jealousy etc), nature starts punishing you then and there. The punishment doesn’t wait until later point of time. Whatever happens later will happen, let that be. But what happens now?

Anybody who generates anger now will experience nothing but unhappiness and misery. This person may have any name, may be from any caste, from any community, from any sect or from any country: it makes no difference at all. Because one has generated negativity, one is bound to be miserable, here and now.

Similarly, when you generate purity of mind, when your mind is full of good qualities such as love, compassion and goodwill, nature starts rewarding you here and now. You won’t have to wait until the end of your life—you start getting the rewards of a pure mind now. When your mind is full of love, full of compassion, you start experiencing so much peace, harmony and happiness.

This is law of nature.

Address migrant labourers problem

Give the auto driver his due

Updated: June 9, 2014 00:58 IST

When all other transportation fails, it is the auto-rickshaw driver who ensures that the people reach their destinations. Most of them happen to be graduates, who lack opportunity and resources, and have therefore come to the city. I would like to draw the attention of our CM towards them. It is time to organise their employment and ensure their sustainability.

Republic day rendezvous !

At 5 45 am, while I was crossing the road, I saw something like a heap covered with a tattered blanket. Under the newly being constructed metro bridge, in the windy cold weather, I wished it was not any living being. When I peeped through the blanket, to my shock, curled up with the support of the pillar was a middle aged man. Probably, he would be one of the migrant construction worker fled from his land and people under extreme economic and social distress. Empathetic, I felt towards him, but I was cruel and too selfish to look over his plight. I moved on.

At such economic inequality and social apathy why would crime not exist in India.

'Republic' that means 'state in which supreme power held by their people' , does it still remains symbolic in India and least from being manifested for the people.

Whatever ! Let me enjoy the holiday today..and unapologetically wish you all ...'Happy Republic day'
